ABOUT US
Beyond Walls is a project of support to Human Rights Defenders carried out in Palestinian Territories and Israel by Servizio Civile Internazionale (SCI-Italia), Popular Struggle Coordination Commitee and Active Vision in collaboration with Amisnet, NOVA and Protection International.
After years of small projects, solidarity exchanges, events organized together on promotion of active citizenship against the occupation, supporting the joint struggle and struggling for an environment of justice and equality in Palestine, we decide to do a step forward on our action taking on the challenge of an ambitious project as Beyond Walls.
Axes followed:
Legal support for HRD
Psychological support (in 10 communities)
International support and Networking (international delegation visits and raise awareness activities outside territories, Alternative Media Seminar with media activists form Mediterranean area)
Media empowerment (workshops on video production, radio production, increasing outreach, website, web-radio and network, radio studio and equipments)
Human Rights, International Law, Security of HRDs, Nonviolent Resolution Conflicts (diploma with NOVA and workshop on Security on HRD with Protection International)
Advocacy and Raise Awareness (trial monitoring, reporting on HRDs action and HR violations, events, videos and radios broadcasting)
Duration of the project: January 2013 - June 2015 The project is cofunded by the European Union.
