Power of video productions might be stronger than words, as it is able to arrive directly to a wider spectrum of people, to communicate immediately, to create empathy. Even more: it is a tool to show reality, to denounce violations, and to protect the Human Rights Defenders and victims of violations. More than once video produced by activists were used during trials achieved also legal value.

 

Therefore one of the most important element to improve the capacity of actions is enhancing the production of audiovisuals, first the video tools.

 

For this reason, Beyond Walls includes 2 workshop in Tel Aviv for Israeli HRD realized by Active Vision and 2 in West Bank realized by PSCC, which involves directly more than 40 participants, who will be multipliers of the action able to reproduce the workshop and disseminate the results.

 

Results of the workshop of the first year are amazing!

In West Bank young activists from villages of AlWalaja, AlMasara, AtTuwani, AlMufaqara, Ni'hil and realised 5 videos which will be broadcasted by internet and by Tvs.

 

In Israel young non-professionist video maker not only improved their skills
in a professional way, but also they had theopportunity to get closer to struggle against the occupation starting or deepening the path of the activism for  HR defense. 

 

The 9 movies produced during the first workshop realized by Active Vision are having a great success. Many screenings all over the World have been organized and they are participating in International Festivals and Contests.
