Legal Protection for HRD’s
 

The legal protection is aimed at providing human rights defenders of legal assistance with continuity so that their job is not limited or interrupted by persecution and it can achieve better effectiveness. More than 125 cases of violation against activists will be followed under the project during the 2 years and a half of implementation by a palestinian and an israeli lawyer. For security reason datas of the specific cases are not pubblished on the website.

On 2014 a general report of the cases will be pubblished.

 

 

Trail Monitoring - West Bank

The presence of lawyers, of human rights defenders and relatives of arrested HRDs during trials allows human relief for arrested people and a precise monitoring of the correct development of the hearings The monitoring includes meeting with human rights defenders on their arrest, assert their rights before and during their questioning and provide first and invaluable legal advice. The monitoring includes a specific advocacy action aimed at targeting diplomatic legacies in order to guarantee their presence as international observers during the trials. Another important aspect is related to the diffusion of information and to raising awarness in terms of vioation during trials.

 

 

Workshop on Legal Issue in West Bank - Israel

Legal workshop carried out in Israel and in West Bank aims at preparing properly the activist about their rights, at enforcing their capacity of advocacy and defense through information and know-how in legal field. In West Bank, part of the workshops focuses on defense of the individual activists, and another part on the capacity of opening legal cases against the violation of the Israeli government and the settlers. At the same time also in Israel, part of the workshop is addressed at individual activists meanwhile another part aims at building a team able to build researches and reporting about the violations against israeli activists.
